Life Goals

Below is a list of things I’d like to do before I die. If God decides to cut my life short, or to deny any of the wishes than it’s perfectly ok. Bold ones are items I’m currently working on, Stricken items are completed, and Both means that it’s an ever ongoing process that I’ve done, but is never really finished.

    1. Love God
    2. Visit all 50 states
    3. Read all 100 Classic books
    4. Complete a Rubik’s cube by myself
    5. Love whatever family God gives me
    6. Write an awesome story
    7. Create a nice garden
    8. Run the 1.25mi Marengo Ridge trail under 8:00
    9. Get a dog of my own
    10. Attend the summer Olympics
    11. Attend the winter Olympics
    12. Visit Ground Zero
    13. Visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp
    14. Write a song
    15. Grow a bonsai tree
    16. Ride a high-speed train
    17. Ski
    18. Get adequately good at tennis
    19. Cycle the Cowboy Trail across Nebraska
    20. Vote
    21. Become fluent in another language
    22. Hike Pike’s Peak
    23. Visit the Swiss Alps
    24. Spend a night at the Burj al Arab in Dubai
    25. Direct a theatrical performance
    26. Drive a sportscar
    27. Bake kolaches
    28. Attend Nebraska Cornhusker volleyball and football games
    29. Visit Arlington National Cemetary
    30. Visit Glacier, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon National Parks
    31. Give up eating meat for lent
    32. See the President
    33. Sail the Caribbean
    34. See sunset from Greek Islands
    35. See a performance at the Sydney Opera House
    36. Watch a shuttle/rocket launch
    37. Make a quilt

    Wow, that is quite an ambitious list you’ve got there. May I suggest German as the language to learn fluently? It’s a fun language that is spoken by lots of people even here in the U.S. Everyone is always learning Spanish nowadays. So I try to peddle my native tongue ;-)

    Just an FYI: It’s spelled “Birkenau” and the place is quite unsettling…
